The magic of The Potions Cauldron is more than just a shop – it’s a living tribute to Edinburgh’s mystical history.
The city has always been a place of wonder, with roots in witchcraft dating back to the 16th century. During this time, thousands of citizens, known as “Spae-folks,” were tried for witchcraft. Today, some of their descendants work in our very shop, sharing their ancient wisdom with you.
But that’s not the only secret tucked beneath the cobbled streets. The Potions Cauldron sits atop a network of smuggling tunnels, used for centuries to ferry the potions of Phileas Fry to the magical folk of Edinburgh.
