Due to access, the wheelchair must be manual. The witch and potion experience takes place in our secret room. There is space for one wheelchair* user during each experience so please notify us at time of booking by emailing edinburgh@thepotionscauldron.com
It is an interactive storytelling/ performance-based experience, where you can enjoy a sample of witches' brew and a full potion from the potions offered in the experience.
Someone over 16 years old must accompany all Wizards under 15.
The Rosestreet Covenstead is in the secret basement of The Potions Cauldron
It is not a tour it is an experience. You are taken downstairs from our magical shop into our Covenstead. The experience is within our Covenstead room that the experience takes place.
It is a half hour experience where you are taken down into our Covenstead, introduced to your Witch and you sample our Witches Brew, you are then tested on your magical potential and are told our Covenstead Lore and a brief history of Scottish Witches. You are told about the 4 original potions of The Potions Cauldron and you are able to choose one to enjoy, while we complete a brewing ritual and see if you are worthy to join our Coven.
We do not turn anyone away, however it is a storytelling and quite wordy, so do not recommend it for under 4's.
We are a Witches Coven and the room is dark, but all of our Witches are good and kind, and hardly ever turn people into frogs! We are trying to recruit you into our Coven and find being mean doesn't work well for that. The Grand High Witch can sometimes be stern but she's a good sort really!
Absolutely not! All ages are welcome and those adults who enjoy magic and something unique will enjoy this too! We have tailored the experience to try to interest all, including a brief history of Scottish witches so you can learn some historical facts regarding where we come from.

Unfortunately, due to our alcohol license restrictions, we are unable to offer adult experiences at this time. We will keep you updated through our website and social media should these restrictions change and we are able to offer Adult only Experiences.
The Experience is performed in English only. We do not offer translation/ other language performance at this time. However, we are happy if you have someone in your party can translate for you throughout the experience. We do respectfully ask, that if someone is translating in your party, that it is in a low tone so it does not impact the enjoyment for other people who may be on your experience at the same time.
