The Potions Cauldron is located on Rose Street in the enchanted city of Edinburgh. Edinburgh has long been associated with the magical and mystical. Lying in the shadow of Arthur’s seat which is rumoured to be the site of the legendary Camelot, a home to ancient Druids and a hotbed of witchcraft and the mystical arts.

There was said to be much magical activity in the 16th century with many citizens of Edinburgh and thousands more across Scotland tried for witchcraft after the passing of the Witchcraft Act of 1563. Entangled in these trials were the “Spae-folks”, otherwise known as wise men and women.

Whilst almost certainly used for smuggling, the network of secret tunnels lying beneath the streets of the Scottish capital are also linked with more mysterious characters and happenings. In fact, the network of secret passageways was once used to smuggle potions of Phileas Fry to the magical folk of Edinburgh. Now you can experience the magic of these potions for yourself at The Potions Cauldron at 116a Rose Street, Edinburgh.
